Managed Detection, Response and Protection on ESET Protect

DigiSôter operates a fully managed security service on the ESET Protect platform: EDR & XDR, 24/7 MDR, vulnerability scanning and patch management, and cloud workload protection, all monitored, tuned and reported by our team.

Frequently asked questions

What is included in the DigiSôter managed security service on ESET Protect?

Our managed service covers deployment and operation of the ESET Protect platform: EDR & XDR on endpoints and servers, 24/7 Managed Detection and Response (MDR) by DigiSôter analysts, vulnerability scanning and patch management, and cloud protection for Microsoft 365 and other cloud workloads. It also includes monthly reporting and quarterly reviews.

Why ESET Protect rather than another EDR/XDR platform?

ESET Protect provides mature EDR/XDR, vulnerability and patch management, and cloud protection in a single console with strong performance on European privacy and data residency. It suits mid-sized Belgian and EU organisations that need enterprise-grade detection without the operational overhead of larger platforms. That said, DigiSôter remains vendor-neutral - we recommend ESET Protect where it fits and can integrate with other platforms where it does not.

What does the 24/7 MDR service cover?

Our MDR service delivers continuous monitoring of EDR/XDR telemetry, alert triage, investigation, containment actions (isolate host, kill process, block indicator), threat hunting, root-cause analysis, and incident reporting. Runbooks are agreed per client to define automatic containment scope and escalation paths.

How is vulnerability scanning and patching handled?

ESET Protect continuously discovers vulnerabilities and missing patches across managed endpoints and servers. DigiSôter prioritises findings by exploitability and business impact, drives remediation with your IT team, and can automate patch deployment for approved software categories.

How does this service help with NIS 2 and ISO 27001?

The service directly supports NIS 2 Article 21 requirements on risk management, incident handling, vulnerability handling and monitoring, and ISO 27001 controls in Annex A (A.8 asset and endpoint controls, A.5.24-A.5.29 incident and continuity, A.8.8 vulnerability management). We provide evidence packs suitable for audits, regulators and insurers.

How long does onboarding take?

A typical onboarding runs 2 to 6 weeks depending on estate size and complexity. It covers design, ESET Protect deployment, policy tuning, integration with identity and email, MDR runbook definition, and a hyper-care phase before steady-state operation.
